You managed way better pics than me, I'm blaming our IT office for having filthy windows though biggrin

I got some videos but don't have an SD card reader at work to be able to get them on to the internet.

They went over my gaff near Thame yesterday en route to Blenheim. An Osprey and several heli's.
When they flew back it was dark and they were flashing in the sky like xmas trees (brighter and more obvious than usual heli lights)
Very cool

Cracking spot judging by the photos. Our office is on the corner of Knoll Road and the A30 so very close to the landing site but a compact camera and filthy windows don't make for great shots biggrin

Strikes me as strange to accompany Helo's with V-22's, given that the V-22 can't translate into forward flight at the max speed of the Helo it is accompanying, and hence has to spend the whole time close to vert mode??

Gotta say though, those aircraft probably have the best paint finish ever seen on a miltary airframe!

They came over Hampstead on Thursday while I was chatting to a client in his garden - 3 choppers and 3 ospreys - very cool.

Client asked what the ospreys were and whether trump was in one - I know they're too unreliable to carry the president so I guess they're the security detail - what would that be, a number of plain clothes black sunglasses types and a platoon of full on marines hiding back ready to go bananas should something kick off?

Could they be transporting vehicles in the Ospreys?

Or could one of 'The Beasts' drive into one if a sudden evac was required?

Or could it be Trump just likes showing them (and their shiny paint jobs) off to everyone? They are bloody cool.

No idea on the max payload on a V-22, but the Beast is reported to weigh as much as 9 tonnes, even without a fat orange t*at riding in it....... ;-)

Great pics!

Just imagine what they could have done if they had pumped the $50bn+ into developing a Fairey Rotodyne type solution.
