Spent a lot of time on that coast and been around Ramsay island a lot, the caves go waaaay back at low tide, aim to hit a slack tide and SUP over there this year (properly geared up....fear not)

Some lovely bit that aren't accessible by foot and just plain stunning.

Great episode, made better when you know an area so well.

I love these videos, such a sense of tranquility and enjoying nature away from everyone else. I need an adventure.

Seems easy to me in a Searider. Some years ago a chap circumnavigated the UK on a windsurfer.

Sometimes the need outweighs natural reservations. Obviously seems like a bad idea retrospectively... Naaah, it seemed like a bad idea as it was all unfolding.

Still, no fake drama... it's all real.

An hour of perfectly civilized TV. One of the few video channels I genuinely look forward to watching.
That “boat in the canal” stunt looked to be a bad idea from the start - from the initial side view of the trailer and the canal.
Back to base - Get it fixed - On with the adventure.
There must be a fair few people googling “2nd hand Searider” every few weeks!

Not see this one yet, but as you say, it's easy watching. No click bait, no nonsense, just well put together interesting footage and story.

Single handledly pushing up their value!

Well, he's prompted me to look at RIBs in general. The little Searider isn't really up to what he's putting it through. Although they *were* cheap, there are lots of more capable RIBs for small-car prices.

the 4m searider though has a history - it is the boat which was taken around Scotland by Michael Alexander and Richard Frere in 1989 (which is generally considered to be the event which promoted RIBs generally as touch capable boats and led to a boom in popularity) - also generally considered to be the first commercial rib - widely used by the RNLI etc.

It is a very capable boat, and the circumnavigation of Scotland by Alexander and Frere has led to other 4m circumnavigations of GB

so, lots of reason why it is the right boat...

According to the Marine Traffic app, he's on the move again today. Just arrived in Port Mylor.

Looks like a test run perhaps? Hopefully it’ll be back off to Scotland soon.

I think that last one was filmed last summer, judging by the petrol prices. I think someone on here was tracking his AIS in Scotland back then too, so hopefully he's affected a repair and got further than that in the meantime.

Oh, that's a shame. Perhaps that's why he's been slow in releasing the last few episodes as he knew he wouldn't be making any new ones for a while. Hopefully this latest movement is a good sign.

What gets me is the production values and quality of content on what I assume is a very low budget. These videos are as good, if not better, than anything the main stream media outlets can come up with. Top stuff.

He’s a video director!
