Really enjoying this. Although it’s going to be a long wait for the next episode.

I know, guess this last episode was just before lockdown. Hoping next stop is Falmouth.

This is also worth a watch, what a ball ache removing that foam.

Another great episode, I am really enjoying it.

Interesting that Raymarine and Ribeye got in on the action. Clearly the marine industry has noticed him.

Watched all 4 parts this afternoon which was very enjoyable. A great laid back attitude with some nice editing and moments.

I do wonder how he will get on along the Scottish coast, not only the weather but there isn't a marina selling petrol around every bit of headland! He does seem to be getting more serious kit as he's going, so that's good.

I always wondered about doing something crazy like this in my last speedboat, but his rib makes my old 14ft Fletcher look positively spacious and accommodating!

I think as he comes across very well on screen and it’s not all about him driving around in a boat but about the local history/people/businesses and of course the very good editing it’s something most companies would probably be happy to support in exchange for a bit of screen time.

Top lad. When the mainstream broadcasters run out of material they can re-show this!

That looks like the lighthouse boat on the river Colne. I had no idea it was full of foam like that - a pity local councils don't make something of this for school children to help support.

Obviously not the digging out of the foam, of course...

I’m not sure if they all got filled with foam but they seem to suggest when they were automated they filled the bow and sterns with foam.

Thats not far from me. I was told that its owned or used by the Sea Scouts?
There is another one in Harwich which is owned by Trinity House.

Which does sort of make sense, if also verging on criminal!

Indeed! That's been my afternoon taken care of! laugh

The revised dashboard was a neat job.

Kingswear Castle is somewhere I've often thought of as an interesting place to stay smile

Plus a beautiful example of one of my all-time favourite boats at 10:46 in episode 4 ....

Huntsman 28. Unusually I don't know which one that is.

Are there any? I see a vapourware website but no actual boats.

Wait until he reaches the N / NE Coast of Scotland, I used to work 12 & 20m Dive Ribs, out of Peterhead.
You think the above sounds like a big RIB?
It feels fking tiny leaving PD with a stiff North Easterly.
I've actually cut both engines out with oil pressure alarms due to the oil pickup pipes drawing air due to the boat being in mid air. (admittedly, I might have been a bit heavy on the throttles biggrin)

I think he is doing a great thing, he's a very likable guy and I hope he succeeds but if he buggers up his forecast he is going to st his pants.

This is good. A RIB magazine (I'm guessing about 20 years ago) organised a round Britain tour. As they went around Cape Wrath - the NW "corner" - the way the cliffs plunged into the sea made it all seem quite terrifying to a Midlander like me. That's at 33mins.
