Dont buy unbranded carb rebuild kits from ebay or aliexpress, after 2 days every rubber seal swolen to double its size and started to ooze green slime and pish petrol everywhere. fk you chinese rubber and fk you e10 petrol.

I never want to have to do that again, so many seized fastners and baking soda blasting without a cabinet makes a hellish mess.
No chinese parts now tho.

Guy i bought it from lives in spain now, I'm sure he would have a better boat over there. A couple of people at loch lomond owned it from 2006 to 2010, i might bump into them up there.

If you fancy some pics / video when you get it up there, I have a Mavic 3 drone - be cool to get some shots. (weekend)

Thank you shenzhenshikeshiliandianzikejiyouxiangongsidongxi (really, thats copied and pasted) off aliexpress for these lovely stainless cup holders for under 2 quid each delivered, and a 18 quid steering wheel and a couple of new starter buttons.

Ready to go now, tide was against me for launching today, by the time i was free to get there the slip would be unusable, but need to get out one day this week.
I decided to leave painting the green bits red, fitting the neoprene flooring and applying fresh vinyl graphics until the winter, dont want to wait any longer to get playing in it.

Whoever did the marine vhf bandplan picked the appropriate channel number fo pleasure craft.

All the effort was totally worth it, boat performed flawlessly, got it between 50 and 55 at one point.
Only thing that came up was the fuel gauge doesnt work.
And the trailer winch pawl snapped.
Had an absolute blast.

Awesome work. That is absolutely flying!

A friend has a 'Salcombe Flyer' rib with an Yamaha AETOL, originally used by the companies MD to complete in the 90hp championships. Proper lightweight shallow very inshore craft, similar sorts of speed if more like 40-45, touching 50 in the flat, but seriously quick.
