There's about as many frontline combat aircraft on that deck as the RAF has in total (obviously I'm joking, but it's starting to be a close-run thing - I count 55 on that desk vs. what, 150 Typhoons we have now?)
Wikipedia says 136 is service, along with 18 F-35Bs .Edited by giveitfish on Monday 15th March 18:50

Crash Landing P-51 Mustang F-16! that was painful to watch dread to think of the pilot mood for months!
But, the moral of the story is, don't restore your P-51 in the colours of "Big Beautiful Doll".

Probably should be in the "video" section rather than the "cool pictures" section.

To be fair, it's in far better condition post-crash than this one though...

Yep - I'm sure this one will be back in the air before too long. The other "Big Beautiful Doll" is no longer big nor beautiful.
The P-51 on static display at Duxford is ALSO in the colours of "Big Beautiful Doll". But at least it's not likely to be written off - unless somebody drops something on it

'tis a truly bizarre looking thing. Made so because the Swiss re-engined them with a much lighter turboprop, so they had to follow Newton's laws and extend the nose to keep the centre of gravity... https://pickledwings.wordpress.com/fw-c-3605-schle...yellowjack said:

Cavalier had the same issue with putting a turboprop on a P51Which was part of the reason nobody bought it. It was meant to be a ground attack aircraft but the pilot couldn't see the ground, at least not the bit they were supposed to be attacking.
