I’m not sure that the affected space above the cockpit is part of the loading area. I think it’s blanked off, so the damage was probably not as dramatic as it first looks. This is a photo from inside the Bruntingthorpe one before it was “recycled”. You can also see the ring of light where the door shuts, so I also doubt that the Super Guppy was pressurised. The bright light is the entrance to the cockpit.
Sorry if it’s rotated 90 degrees. Can anyone sort that for me?
