Probably should be in the "video" section rather than the "cool pictures" section.

But, the moral of the story is, don't restore your P-51 in the colours of "Big Beautiful Doll".

Yep - I'm sure this one will be back in the air before too long. The other "Big Beautiful Doll" is no longer big nor beautiful.

The P-51 on static display at Duxford is ALSO in the colours of "Big Beautiful Doll". But at least it's not likely to be written off - unless somebody drops something on it

Cavalier had the same issue with putting a turboprop on a P51



Which was part of the reason nobody bought it. It was meant to be a ground attack aircraft but the pilot couldn't see the ground, at least not the bit they were supposed to be attacking.
