I am not surprised that Esysman's income is from sanctioned yachts as that is the industry. What I am surprised about is the lack of accuracy in his videos that is being suggested here. Do we have data to support the claims or is it a case that the data is confidential and that is why it is not being publicly challenged?
Side note, Esysman has been open about how his Porsche is a turbo in GT2RS clothing.

Actually when you put it like that…I used to live in the SoF and obviously there’s a lot of crew around - you’d occasionally hear things here and there - but surprisingly little consider the stories you knew they actually had.

Well, this is a concern...First you suggest he is selling BS. Now you are telling us he is taking advantage of his position. If it is BS, it is not taking advantage of his position.
I can see how a person in the industry would be offended by both avenues... BS brings the industry down. Violating confidence spoils the purpose of the life style for the owners. Which is it?
I will add, that if he is violating his own yacht he would fired on the spot. Something he has spoken about many times. Are you concerned he is sharing too much accurate info about yachts he does not work for? Would that not risk his career.
I am not doubting your concerns are valid. I am just not satisfied that we have enough evidence to post a man's name on the internet and throw conflicting accusations around.
I get the impression that he is probably an expert in his specific field but has obviously tried to produce a wide variety of videos covering all aspects of the yachting industry that others perhaps may have more knowledge on.
Fundamentally I suspect the biggest gripe with him is his indiscreetness which is seen a key attribute to have in that industry.

Before the war his channel was quite an interesting insight into the world. Whether it was all nonsense or not was, broadly, irrelevant to me - it was usually entertaining in one way or another.
He’s rather pivoted since the war to focussing a lot more on sanctioned yachts, etc. and as I had no interest I unsubscribed at that point so I don’t know if that continued. I assume it has, and has been good for views…

I don’t know the guy and I’m not necessarily defending him - but on numerous occasions he’s said he can’t name the yacht he works on, unlike Superyacht Captain on YouTube. If true, the yacht he does work on is quite impressive! LimaDelta said:

This ^Nobody I’ve worked for (owners or skippers) would allow that kind of social media presence.
ETA - still not cool that he’s been “doxxed” (had to Google that) on the internet though!

He's always been very discreet about his actual job and never mentioned a yacht he has worked on (although he did get permission to film whilst at sea on one of them), what is it that you don't like specifically.swanny71 said:
