Only been to the one in Brooklands and it was a lovely experience. She looks excellent despite being stored outside, but was also never in service.
I know there are some out there in better condition but I didn't think that the one in NY was one of them? It'll be marvelous to see etc. regardless though. Plus the rest of the museum/city.
As it's just been restored I'd be surprised if it wasn't in the best condition of all the ones on display I know there are some out there in better condition but I didn't think that the one in NY was one of them? It'll be marvelous to see etc. regardless though. Plus the rest of the museum/city.

Guess it doesn't matter what it's like under the skin as RTF is never going to happen now unless assists like the video!
Definitely go as it’s a great day out.
It’s not everyday you’re allowed to wander around an aircraft carrier and submarine so you must take advantage. They have retired ex-navy dudes dotted about who will answer any question and point out stuff for you as well as telling you about life onboard.
They do this kind of stuff really well in the States and they seem determined to make you enjoy it. Highlight for me was the Growler as you really get close up and personal with the sub and the fact that the ex-submariner guide took the piss out of me for wearing a Boston RedSox baseball cap in NY. Apparently that’s a capital crime
With Concorde back and restored will just make the trip better.
