Sounds very similar, doesn't it.

It reminds me of some of the failed go-around footage you see from carrier operations in World War 2. Executing a missed approach and go around in something like a Hellcat or a Corsair sometimes resulted in the plane rolling inverted and crashing into the sea.

In those old warbirds there is enough engine power available, coupled to large propellers, such that at low speed there doesn't even need to be an aerodynamic stall to roll the aircraft into the ground - just an inappropriate amount of power selected at low speed can torque the aircraft over - the fatal Spitfire accident at Goodwood in 2000 being a more recent example.
