Was wonderful to see the Vulcan flying over the Nostalgia Festival at Croft circuit on Sunday afternoon. Everything and everybody stopped to watch the display, a great sight!

Sadly the ones where XH is over the pier are rubbish, but I do have a couple of red arrows ones if that'd be useful jon?

This is about the best of my XH558 shots:

Wonder what the Vulcan effect has had on sales this year and following years? I know it is the last year but getting people like me going to airshows again. Must admit it was the decider to go to RIAT for two days this year, and we will probably go to RIAT next year now we have been and got the feel for it.

same here, I am normally too tight to actually pay for airshows and normally go to free seaside shows/events.
We went to RIAT for the first time and only went on the Friday but was a privilege to have an under wing tour of XH588. Will go again though.

Have also travelled hours to Weston-Super-Mare to see her from the beach

After Eastbourne & Headcorn, XH558 wowed the crowds at Herne Bay -

Might be the last time I see the old girl. Think I got a bit of sand in my eye as she disappeared.

Could it not be transfered over to the states in order to keep it in the air? I believe they are a bit more open minded about these things, it's hardly falling apart is it, only obsolete on paper, I imagine it would be hugely popular over there

Didn't someone suggest sending it over to South Africa a few pages back, for much the same reason? Isn't there a Lightning over there doing demo runs?

+1 ( especially the first and second shots )

Reminds me of 1 time seeing 4 of them from a Cessna 152 ( Out of Leeds Bradford - flying over the Pennines / North Yorkshire ) when they flew below us on Low Level training.

ETA Over the reservoirs that litter the valleys up there.
