Mangustas are quite funny... we have stacks of them down in the S.of.France...

My money would go on a Royal Denship 120 Open, Palmer Johnson 120 (soon to be made in Southampton), or perhaps a Pershing or Mochi Dolphin from the Ferretti Group stable.

For those with a slightly more 'real world' budget, any one of these would certainly do the trick! http://www.windyuk.eu/models.html

That makes it just over $26million. So it's gone up $2million, must be inflation.

I disagree.

People with the kind of money require to have these types of boats are not affected by the "crisis" that is attempting to sweep through our economy.

Boats at that value will take a while to sell, as boats have a more personal taste - you would not spend a couple a mil and have something with some one elses taste splattered all over it - even the sunssekers now can be customised to suit specofoc tastes etc.

imo anyone not affected by current economic climate is very fortunate....from what i see around me things have turned very quickly...all confidence has disappeared overnight...yacht is one of last toys in,so more than likely first one out when things turn sour...at any price if you are looking for money to put back into your business or new venture

I did have a price on one of these, can't remember off the top of my head though. But if you do order new, expect to wait 18 months - 2 years for delivery, they build all boats to order.

Go for a flybridge and get a proper boat instead of a oversized speedboat. One of the best designs in my view is the Sunseeker 82 . Many people must also think so as they have sold plenty , oh and if you go on there website its my wife and me on the vid and photos of the portofino 53,Flybridge 82 and 105 ( the bloke doing the pointing) quite sad really !!!.

Spot on! Got our first boat this year - Predator 62 and - although we often have friends aboard - as it's just me and the g/f most of the time the 62 is the perfect beast. We don't need the extra space of the 84 and you're starting to need crew at that size which is a complete pain. Massive leap in price from around £1.2m for 62 to £2.9m or so for 82 too! Not that we bought brand new btw!

PS Edited twice - really musct lern to spel!

Pugsey - 62 is probably the right size to be able to spend a good few nights out and about, withinout feeling cramped and on top of each other - also like you say having crew just is a pain.

Did you ever think about the 72 or do you not value your frinds... 10foot extra.... personally dont think its worth the £400-£500k extra.

Personal fav, price, speed, and vfm is the portofino 53.

I cant see it being too much off list - depandant on engines and final specs no doubt - saves a wait though for a new craft!!
