i stubbled on them because for some reason i thought they were based in southampton? and me and the misses were looking for somewhere to eat.i saw the predator then as i got near i realised it was the acutal yard. i would find it fasinating to look at one being made.

Undearneath all the shiney bits they are just fiberglass and wood, i have a freind who's job is to travel anywhere in the world to rectify the common faults on them under warranty, he has been in hong kong repairing the area's around the windscreen on the flybridge, apparantly its common for them to crack and split he has repaired dozens.

Bugger, bugger, bugger. I've been had. If I'd known that I'd never have bought one of the nasty tacky things. Are you SURE they're not made from something more exotic - I'd feel SO much better. rolleyes

Well i have visited the place where they are made a few times,i also know a couple of guys who work on them (i only live up the road from them) general opinion of the guys who make them is they are well marketed but not that well put together, a fool and his money are soon parted springs to mind.

You're calling me a fool? Thanks.

A classic 'I haven't got one but know all about them and the people who buy them' post if ever there was one. When I'm enjoying myself in the Med next year - along with all the other fools - you can imagine how important your views will seem to me.

A constructive discussion (pardon the pun) about materials etc yes. Tiny minded insults - no thanks.

Charmed I'm sure.

PS. Oh - and if what you say is true - how sad that the guys who make them have no pride in their work, or in fact actually do a bad job. Because that's what you've just said. Have to say that that hasn't been my impression during factory visits btw.

1. In effect you did. At least have the strength to stand behind your remarks. And now you can't resist the temptation of a snide dig re 'wasting' my money.
2. Thanks for passing on what you've 'heard' - from guys who either have no pride in their job or admit that they personally do a bad job. Very valuable input.
3. I'm not your 'Pal'.
4. I seriously doubt I'll see you there.

PS Apologies for all the edits - very difficult not to keep coming up with yet another come back to your remarks I do admit.

For the size needed it would have to be a Wally 118. And then you wouldn't get much change from $24 million if you go for the triple gas turbines
The Wally Power 118 is currently for sale through Edmiston for €17,750,000.
