How Many PHers Living Afloat?
Discussion
I know a couple who have been living on a Broom 37 Crown for at least the last 15 years, possibly quite a bit longer.
The boat is quite 'homely' but you should see the engines - perfection - even the bilges are polished!
They even have an African Grey Parrot that says 'Pieces of eight'

Have lived on boats now for 7 years, currently I'm wintering in the Caribbean... and I never have to pack a bag!
Where abouts in the Caribbean? Speed yellow do you know many of the BVI based crews by and chance, worked there for a long time and still have many friends there .
You say you just got back to Antigua,I am told quite a lot of boats have pulled out after the recent bad news !!!.Bad news for all the Islands that kind of thing, but just terrible for the family.

It was a bit quiet a week ago when we arrived in Antigua, but as normal the boats are all returning again, place is starting to buzz a bit and the bars are all open again.
Tragic thing but it sounds worse a little South of here for sure!
Heading down to St Lucia, Barbados and Trinidad over the next few weeks before heading off to the Azores mid March and back in Southampton late April I guess.

Things been fine here in St.Lucia, we have been here solidly since Oct and have been told of no problems.
Still things happening in St.Vincent. But for me Trini is a shocker.
What size boat are you on?,as the new superyacht dock here is very smart and secure.
Let me know when you are in as i am usully found in bread basket in the morning feeding me 3 year old son.

Hi,
Well you will have seen me there at the end of the ARC then, the yacht is Big Spirit, a Challenge 72.
You can find details of where abouts I am on the website or facebook page normally (internet access allowing!). www.bigspiritadventures.com
Look forward to catching up maybe late February then.
Cheers

Speedyellow yep saw you here. One of the 72's is still here . My sister was on Barclays, not sure what that boat is called now. I also have one of the British Steel 2 crew coming to stay this Sat with us . He has since bought a swan a been round again !!!.I know a lot of the lads from early day's of the challenge. Some top people .
Interested to hear what think of the 72's,never sailed one myself but had a look round, looks proper to me though.Plus i have bit of soft spot for Rob's designs.
