This thread reminds me of a damned good novel I read once

Ferry flight across the Alantic, via Greenland with baddies, goodies and long range tanks in Cessna Skymaster, was it Duncan Kyle?

I feel like looking it out and re-reading it now...

off for a Google search...

great stuff this is again, real nuts and bolts stuff

For info, my airline (Thomson) has carried out delivery flights of 737-800 from Boeing Field in Seattle non-stop to either Luton or Manchester depending on where their first revenue flight is to be from. I understand that first passenger flight is sometimes the same day.
