Can anyone recommend some prescription glasses for watersports?

I'll be kayaking in mine but anything you've used for sailing, wind surfing surfing and so on would be good. My main concerns are their ability to stay on, be fairly robust and not mist up. I don't need to see underwater particularly (well, a few feet is always handy I suppose) but want to be able to see once I've rolled back up the right way. I don't need to keep the water out of my eyes so don't need goggles or a mask as such.

I've been looking at a pair of dirty dog curls so if anyone has any specific information on those that would be very handy.

Many thanks,

Mark

IME disposable contact lenses and standard goggles are best- both are cheap as chips, so it doesn't matter if you trash them.

I don't really get on with contact lenses although it's been a while since I last tried them. Don't you find that the goggles simply mist up when above water?

I'm more likely to be swimming than canoeing, so that's less of an issue for me. The cost of new glasses is likely to be much the same, mind. wink

get some anti-fog solution - works wonders.

On a related topic - I really want to start cycling again, but can't because the wind whipping round the sides of my glasses make my eyes water. Would these oakleys stop that?

No expert on these matters but when the tour de france is on quite a few of the competitors are wearing them.
