Spent Friday up on Cad West in the Mach Loop, as the squadron leader of the F-15s at Lakenheath was doing his last day of flying and he tore the place to f**king pieces! Afterburners on, upside down passes, straight over the top of us. Cracking flying from everyone.

F-15s first wave of passes.

This was 11am and not sunset!

The RAF soon turned up literally two seconds later with a pair of Hawks going uber fast, knife edged it and straight over the top of us with two passes.

Then USAF had seen the RAF and fancied some more...

Going upside down

Then the RAF were back for more with a Harrier going high and then inverting it over the pass.

All in all, a good morning smile

Thanks for looking, Dave

eric, its on the side of Cadir Idris in North Wales and you simply park the car and walk 15/20mins up to the top of the hill to a "knotch" in the valley where it narrows foricing most aircraft to go knife edge.

Commonly known as the Mach loop due to its close proximity to Machynllyth.

Thanks - I'll bear that in mind if I'm ever in North Wales.

Dave, glad you got a decent days sight seeing in. After the low fly count from the other week I bet you were like a dog with 2 cocks seeing these flying over.

BTW How did you know it was Mr Usaf's last day? lowfly?

Going to have to take the boy for a day up there.

Yeah lowfly.. told to keep the info private. Got told it as I asked if anyone else was going up. Must have been about 150-200 people in the Loop. I was there on Wednesday morning to, posted the pics in "RAF Fast Jets" thread. Harriers and Hawks. Not a bad three days smile
