I just want to publicly thak Bevan a guard on the Uckfield line who went out of his way last night to reunite me with my wallet and coat.

Thanks also to the crew on the East Grinstead train where I abandoned them, and the staff at Oxted for holding them pending my return there.

No thanks to my wife who won't shut up about me leaving them there in the first place, and therefore spending most of yesterday evening travelling backwards and forwards between Oxted and Crowborough on the train!

Dont just tell us. A nice email to the company stating any details of the train times etc. Public transport can be a stty thankless job sometimes, and some appreciation can be very welcome.

Don't worry the first thing I did last night when I finally got in was to email the company!

And today I received a letter from Southern thanking me for my thank you. So should I write to them thanking them for thanking me for thanking them?!

I was a 'customer service hotline' once and got a letter from a satisfied customer writing in to say how much he liked our products. Having until that time only dealt with idiots or 'professional complainers' out for a freebie, I was completed stumped!
