Pucara reminds me a lot of the old OV-10 Bronco...

One my best models I did as a youngster was the OV-10 (primarily because I didin't get glue all over the canopy as per SOP)

Got to be the B-2 for me. Simply awe-inspiring machine. Looks literally out of this world,

Some cool B-2 videos. Some of these shots send shivers down the spine (well, they do if you're a plane geek like me!)

Best looking civvie jet has to be Concorde without doubt, maybe even, THE best.

But, I'd go with the Hunter for best looking military aircraft, it just looked so right.

22 of them in formation being looped is still a record to this day, and it's still the only jet ever to have been flown THROUGH Tower Bridge biggrin

Not a huge fan of jet metal, i prefer the old WW2 warbirds...

But if i had to choose it would be this based on it's looks which is proper school kid stuff design & reputation!

F14 Tomcat.

Hunter, without any doubt at all.

A fast jet (supersonic in a dive) designed by the Battle of Britain generation, specifically Sydney Camm.

There is a lovely bit of airshow video somewhere showing Camm's first 1920's design struggling to make 80 knots down the crowd-line with an opposition pass by a Hunter ambling along doing 400 knots the other way.

All my favorites have been mentioned. But here goes:
1, Blackbird
2, Concorde
3, Vulcan
4, Hunter
5, Comet
6, Eurofighter
7, Sea Vixen
8, Starfighter
9, Victor
10, Saab Grippen

Actually I don't think the sea vixen has been mentioned before. Love the twin tail sections.

De Havilland has quite a lot of variation on the twin boom theme, starting with the Vampire I of 1943.

Vampire FB5

Vampire T11

Vampire NF10

Venom FB1

Venom NF2

Sea Venom FAW20

DH110

Not sure why, but I've always thought the Learjet family really very pretty.

I have to say, the red carpet looks a bit mean.

another from me. i won't say its good looking but i've always liked the a-10 thunderbolt. mainly because i had a transformer that turned into one smile it also seems to give the impression that imminent death is following closely behind

(yeah I know the two seater doesn't have quite the same lines, but I love the colourscheme on this one)

Personally speaking I prefer the two seater Hunter anyway

Something about the way it curves gracefully into the single seater fuselage behind the cockpit makes it look so-o-o-o sleek.

(I vaguely remember the area rule principles calculated for the two seat version fairing being adapted gratefully by English Electric/BAC for the two seat Lightnings...somewhere I have a magazine article about that)

If I was forced to choose a favourite Hunter it would probably be the F4, before the extended wing LE mods and the tailchute fairing added to the later marks.

Er

can you tell the Hunter would be my vote "Best looking jet ever"?

and the runner up?

North American F86 (the early pre radar schnozz version)
