I'm currently in Zurich and am booked on an Easyjet flight tomorrow morning (Thu 24 Dec 10:10am) back to Gatwick. As I live so close to Gatwick it's my easiest option, and that limits me to the choice of only Easyjet and Aer Lingus. Swiss and BA seem to opt for City or Heathrow unfortunatley.

The Easyjet flights from Zurich to Gatwick were cancelled this morning which has got me panicing that I might be in the same boat tomorrow. I'm guessing ice was the main culprit this morning, but I also assume that their planes must be all out of sink and in the wrong locations currently since the snow, so this must also be causing problems.

Does anyone on here have any reliable information on whether the flights tomorrow will be affected, or should I be buying my Christmas dinner for one ready meal from the supermarket tonight? smile

Don't know a lot but since you haven't had any replies here's my tuppence.

The runway was closed a couple of days ago here but things weren't too bad today. The Gatwick-Zurich flight this morning at 06-something was cancelled, I don't know whether it was weather your end or just Easyjet trying to sort out their schedule. They haven't got any pre-warning about your flight being cancelled, I don't know if there's a helpline you could try your end to find out? Good luck..

Hopefully Gatwick and Zurich weather will be ok on Thurs, so flights should be fine. Slight risk of fog though. I flew easyjet from Geneva to Bristol yesterday, no problems. Of course it's always easier to have hand baggage only, as you can flit between airlines depending on flight availability. good luck.

The forecasts for Gatwick and Zurich suggest you will have no problems whatsoever.
