500+ horsepower. You won't want to be river cruising for too long

but no antifoul issues etc plus easier to keep on top of maint etc on the river.

Guessing the boat would benifit from a good run every now and then to clear things through.

A mate bought a slightly older model in the summer. The previous owner used it a lot for running up and down the river to his berth.

When the boat came over to Guernsey to live, power was down and the 42s were smoking. A quick change of injectors (about £65 each) made the boat so much nicer, quicker to plane and less smokey. He says its the best thing he did for the boat all year, this being his 3rd Targa.

All KADs and KAMDs need a good blast to keep them running well (our yard looks after about a 100 of them)and will last you well.

Happy cruising.

Make sure the valve clearances are done as well every 200hrs as it can be a issue. We just had one drop a few valves which caused 10k's worth of work and the pistons and crank and head where undamaged, just valve gear and few other issues.
Some of this was caused by the raw water turbo intercooler which had started to weep had dribbled salt water onto the valve stems. Engine had low hours and a 2003 boat.
Really good idea to check the intercooler, they are also about 1k for the core.
Some of the engine vents are badly routed so watch for corrosion on top of the engines.
