Cheers FWD, that works a treat, now then, how can I take that clip and turn it into a screensaver? Edited by excel789 on Sunday 10th January 21:33
You could try Bink Rad tools (it's free to download and try) it can turn a video clip into a series of images. You need to specify the folder for them to go in as it will save each frame by number. There will be a lot, might take a long time. Ps. There will be a lot of images, did I say that already? start Bink, choose video clip, click convert file, specify output and where, then go.
(I am not sure if Bink handles mp4 files though, I know it does avi so maybe a quick convert using one of the many free converters on the web first)
Then use Irfanview (free) to load them all (slideshow option) in or the choice ones you want and and save as exe/SCR option bottom left to save it off.

I downloaded the lot, took about ... 7 hours funnily enough. I've also watched it (or, just left it on in the background) from end to end over three days , the scenery is fantastic.
I also noticed it goes throught Stabekk where I stayed once in the mid 90s, I can see the pub I once had lunch in from the train. Must do this trip some winter.

Thanks once again, I'll try that later. You know, this video has reminded me that years ago I used to watch similar stuff on a German, or maybe Austrian, satellite channel, broadcast in the early hours. I found it strangely hypnotic There used to be a tour of the webcams in Austian ski resorts as well, on some mornings with spectacular shots of the sunrise over the mountains. Can't remember what channel though, RTE?.(I am not sure if Bink handles mp4 files though, I know it does avi so maybe a quick convert using one of the many free converters on the web first)

I'm sure Jones Cable used to show the 'Train Channel' after the Landscape Channel shutdown for the night, which was also good background TV.Here's the UK version, London to Birmingham in 5mins - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fumSlqi0G-g
