Ah Corinth canal..... The bit I don't like is when you have the current on the nose and you get close to the lights and they are red and you think if they don't turn to green soon its going grab the bow if I slow down anymore and swing round into the wall........... A few more from the UK
One of the company toys, now sold. 8.6m 350hp 5.3 litre V8 outboard
My Boat! 2009 Avon Adventure 580 Yamaha Four Stroke 150hp
A lovely days fishing - that's what it's all about!
My old boat, now sold and gone to a new owner in France. 2007 Avon Adventure 560, Mercury 115hp Optimax
And another company demo boat - that's a couple of miles off the Needles, Isle of Wight. A beautiful evening after work!

I wasn't there unfortunately. Closest I've been to the Corinth Canal is signing off the 1,300 Euro invoice for that transit... Rum Runner said:

Yep you do get the run around from owners and guest, and you just have take it if they are paying big £ for a charter and the tip is always on your mind. The last one we ran for a long time 4th one down on my fist post with me nearly falling out of the dink after putting a stern line round the trees, was hard work just me and Mrs and doing all the work (spanner work as well) being the Carib its easier to do everything yourself.
Not like the Med boys that ring up for a light bulb change.
All the crewed yachts there (BVI) live 4 miles away from any civilisation in a anchorage as marina fees are rude. Its quite a dinghy ride to town across the channel, bit of blow when you have go back for some milk etc.
Its me walking up the steps on Sunseeker, some work we did for them a while ago. The first pic is on a Ferretti 88 with 4000hp fully wound up doing 35knots. We took that through the Med,200 gals hr fuel burn at that rate.
Had a great time with owners and guest on the Cat's though that's the Mrs on the bow in the Bahamas. I would buy one tomorrow and live on it if the Mrs had not requested a home that does not move.....

She was starting to look quite sad when I last saw here in April, in need of a hull repaint and freshening up.... hope she's spent a month or two in a yard this summer/autumn otherwise she's loosing here impact I had the opportunity a few years ago to go to Italy and have a look around her, unfortunately I didn't take him up on the offer.... gutted as she looks amazing.

And fantastic in full sail !I am assuming you all know about the clot in San Fran Harbour shouting 'Starboard' at her and proceeds to sail straight in to the side of her?
great sequence here
Bet it was the fat tt from the Steve Irwin ! type of thing he would do !
Different Olsen. This ones Peter Bjorn Olsen, Denmark.
I had some correspondence with his son a couple of years ago, also Peter Bjorn Olsen. He sent me an original sale brochure. The yard is still there.
I've done a fair bit of work on her since that picture was taken, but a house renovation means she's slowed down a bit.
Here's some pictures of the work I did on the rig.
And a bit of work on the coachroof.

Thats a Pred 75, quality boat, built from 1998-2004. Has the open cockpit as a rule, some were fitted with 'patio doors' The pred 72's are 2005 -2009 and have upper and lower saloons with aft cockpits. Latest boat in that size is the Pred 74 which offers a sportsbridge but then you dont get the opening hard top, in which case why not buy a manhatten??Mike.C said:
