I'm genuinely surprised that no billionaire thus far (that I'm aware of), has tried to create, maybe not a mega yacht but at least a chase boat, that could jettison its cocoon and allow its hydrofoil equipped boat to speed off.

Yet another reason I would be a better billionaire than the current crop hehe

There are people out there who have designed something a little more extreme - http://www.migaloo-submarines.com/#top

They have also designed Stromberg style semi submersible lairs - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rv2dS63Kzb8

Motoryacht A and Yacht A are so yesterdays news. hehe

The £300m Gin Palaces, are much of a muchness. The two 'A' boats are the oddballs in the bunch.

It would be fun to see some really silly stuff done with the kind of 'fk off' money that instead gets spent on these identikit yachts.

Seabreachers don't half look awesome, would need to have a squadron of them though for maximum villain points.

at around 12,000 tonnes she's heavy, I think much like the kite assisted ship they are not main propulsion.

I'm nuts as I like her.

I like it too!

But yeah a 12,000 tonne sailing boat! I know ABSOLUTELY nothing about such things, but surely they cant do much?

Only one problem. The fuel tank would last buggar all at wide open. My old boat had twin outboards-it could drink 160L/hr. A 52L tank will be gone in 30 minutes

nono Her gross registered tonnage is 12,000 tons, she actually only weighs about 1400 tons IIRC

Her actual net tonnage is 1450 and her Gross tonnage is 12558. The yacht is registered as a 'Sail Assisted Motor yacht'

I assume these two fit the 60m+ criteria?

No idea of their names but this is the view I have right now from the hotel beach in Dubai.

Arab owners I expect?
