I thought I noticed both A's there... how come they would take both? Too big a party to have on 1 boat? Just showing off as Monaco was the place to be?
Chartered would be my guess, Eclipse included
Absolutely not.
I know nothing of such matters but I would be astounded if the owners weren't on them for Monaco GP weekend. Why would they give them away for that weekend for a few million which is chicken feed to them!

Look after the millions and the billions will look after themselves?

I'm always surprised at how many balconies and the like are empty during the Monaco GP, from the TV footage.

Eclipse is available for charter but Dilbar isn't.

Anyone know any details on this one?

It was at Oyster's yard in Southampton. I know they make top-end sailing yachts but do they also make motor yachts?

What would a ball-park figure be for it?

It's difficult to know exactly how large it is unless you know of the yacht. It looks like 50M in length. It's academic how much these things cost. A Corbyn would say 'a lot' smile

Did anyone else see the documentary on More4 last night about the Monaco Yacht Show? Not so much a different world as a different planet in some cases!

Missed that but will have a look at lunchtime.

I know someone who works on Dilbar and as you say its another world where money simply isn't a factor.

All the crew have ipads / iphones and rather than use the standard plastic cradle chargers they all have custom gold plated ones. This is in the crew cabins that no one else will ever see.

One of the more interesting comments was bizarrely around one of the bathrooms - beautiful marble sink, but as the salesman (I think) said, lots of sharp corners and edges, which are less than ideal on a vessel and are a bh to keep clean: he was suggesting this is a function of size/money/ostentation becoming more important, leading to interior designers rather than naval architects being responsible for a lot of the design.

Lady May, formerly Como - 46m Feadship launched in 2014. Currently for sale for €31 million
Pah - chump change, not worthy of this thread wink
about the running costs of a certain 126M yacht being launched next year

I saw the last part of it. Saw Herb Chambers, Wayne Carini's billionaire mate planning his new tub. Saw Solandge, I really don't like an interior designed to look like a jewellery box.

Yep, it was proof that money does not buy taste, and the salesman changed the tour itinerary so that the lounge, which I suspect even Liberace might have found a little too gaudy, was the last bit of the tour, not the first.

They have to get one or two charters in every year or they will be given a very large VAT bill smile

Thanks PW I'll let the wife know, she quite liked the look of it.

ps I would go and look down the back of the sofa for some spare change, but as they say "if you need to ask the price you clearly can't afford it".... oh well!

So, these pop up on a mates FB feed! I am amazed they've come out... No points for guessing which new 'sailing' vessel they come from... Pretty sure we can safely say it exceeds the GBP60million criteria

The size of the Tender Garage is amazing... the library is also breathtaking...
