God, it’s hard to fathom the scale of these until you see a picture like this with tiny little people on it!
Here is one of the crew up the masts during sail trials. (Great drone footage)

I want that lifestyle!

Its all bks really. Money for old rope in most cases.

I just had to replace a set of sink taps for a client because they were 'lost' on site and they cost me £8k to replace.

They are fk ugly too but simply are 'the' brand to have apparently.

Forget the £60M figure this threads about Superyachts and that definitely counts.
I don't agree. If you want to see loads of pictures or information about little yachts start a new thread. This thread should remain as per the title.
This is getting almost as bad as the 'Supercars Spotted' thread and all the pedants who chime in about what constitutes a supercar.

Since when has a 200ft Benetti been classed as a 'little' yacht?

It's not that they are 'little' per se. Just plastic and not very appealing. The thread is the wow factor. It costs 60M to achieve it. 30M buys you length and not much else. smile

I am only referring to the title of the thread "Superyachts 60 Million+". People don't post Skodas on the Ferrari thread or 'Jap Chat' on the 'BMW Thread'. The title of the thread is what the base subject should be about.
If you want to post a Benetti superyacht then look at Lionheart (92mtrs) with three more in build all valued over £60million.

But this is about £60m+ ones specifically. The utterly ludicrous excesses. The ludicrously wealthy people who own them.

No one cares about a peasants £50m yacht.

Revolting yacht for an equally revolting owner.

Much lovelier interior on this one than on many a gold-plated 60M+ superyacht!

Its a shame that 60m + is in the title really, as there are some fantastic custom yachts around for half that or less, that are still very enjoyable to look at and appreciate. Unfortunately I don't think there is room for 2 super yacht topics on here, however I do understand why the very large ones are a big draw.

From my own perspective, having spent time on every type of yacht from over 100m to below 30m, I still think that a very well made sailing yacht in the 40 - 60m range is a wonderful thing. The better looking it is (eg long, low, wide and pointy etc) the harder it is to make everything fit smile

No one else seems to have picked up on this - they cost YOU £8k to replace?

You don't seem terribly upset by that? If I had to replace 8 grands worth of stuff on this site, I'd be very very very upset. More so if it was for a set of taps.

Fair play. I'd be passing the cost on to the company somewhere along the line.

There is literally nothing I like in that.

It is as grey and nasty as the skies around it. Not what a 'Superyacht' and life thereof should be IMHO
On the other hand, having the money to own a super yacht designed to your own specification means you can do pretty much whatever YOU want and not care what anyone else thinks. I actually quite like it but I realise I am probably in the minority.

Agreed - S/Y Hemisphere is one of my favourites
