Not £60m but some on here may find this article interesting. Personally I love it and had no idea of its history! -

it's in Fiji at the moment <3 I’m not sure if anyone else finds this interesting - but you can almost perfectly see where the cyclone is in the Philippine Sea due to the lack of yachts.
What is the ‘max’ that some of the superyachts - or are they pretty indestructible and just a case of changing glasswear and underpants if they really get caught out?

Superb - thats the one I want to own above all others. The toys are fantastic too.I've been saving up for several years, I think I can now run to the purchase of 1 logo'd hand towel

I *love* that boat.
It's like a (much!) bigger and more serious Alfa Nero.
Ohgodyeah.

Saw a bunch around Cannes and Antibes. No good photos though.
I didn’t take notes either. I think this was Ulysses.
Eclipse is in the area as was Albatros and so many others.
Ulysses was in Gibraltar moored up to a mole this lunchtime, I could see it out of my office window. Big thing but a curious design - the rear part looks sort of "art deco" like it's made of concrete. I'd take a photo but it's gone now.I didn’t take notes either. I think this was Ulysses.

What I *can* see right now isn't a yacht, but it's absolutely huge - "Sleipnir", a semi submersible crane - it can lift 20,000 tonnes!! So called because it has 8 legs, like Odin's horse. Bonkers thing.

Couldn't agree more - spending an hour or two out on one of these in a decent breeze is right up there on my bucket list.Edited by Chris Stott on Monday 7th October 21:34
Coincidentally this popped up on my recommendations earlier... Head to head between J Class yachts Svea and Velsheda
Being picky it's slightly sad to see all that new carbon fibre and modern sails on an original 1930s build like Velsheda - fine on Svea as a new build homage though - but if that's the price of keeping her afloat and racing then I guess I can live with it

Which I think is just amazing - Windrose Sandwiched between J's Ranger and Velsheda
Such power and shape to the sails....
