Will make the foredeck considerably larger for helipad may be one advantage.

You can keep the added bragging metres from the bowsprit. A mere 118m will do me!

Isn't the helipad on the upper rear superstructure? The in construction photos look like there's a reinforced circle there (tail overhanging?).

Wasn’t talking about that specific boat, more in general. Longer foredeck allows a lot more space for helipads, basketball courts and all the other must haves in never ending race to 1-up the competition.

Is it pure vanity then? No additional usable hull volume, but the ability to say you've breached the magic 120m mark for maximum bragging rights?
+1

Nothing to do with helipad or technical space. Makes the sculptur of the Jag underneath more impressive.

If we are talking pointy front bits, how's about this then.

Adix.

Spotted recently by me in Vathy, Ithaca, Greece.

Mega thing and real class.
I should imagine this has had more money spent on its maintenance over the years than it would ever be worth, so in my book this guy wins.

Just don't ask him if he has any nice artwork onboard.....

Likewise. Absolutely love the design of this. Manages to look old and new at the same time. So clean.

I agree. I love the simple non fussy design. The only thing Im not sure on is how dark the hull is. I understand the colour hides any hull openings/windows but much like black wheels you sort of loose the shape.

And with perfect timing, and as an illustration on how far the superyacht industry has moved, we went past this yesterday.

The OG.
Christina O.

Lovely to see her anchored just off Skorpios and sailing in the very same waters her original Owner converted her for over 75 years ago!

All very true, it’s not a looker.

Something I noticed, the platforms and transom door being all laid out definitely help with the rear aesthetic. It’s still not a looker but it’s a lot better than when they’re folded up!

Just spotted this in the Daily Mail, its docked in Cairns, Australia. lots more pictures. It looks very plain

Crikey. First look and I was really not that enamoured. A quick Google later, and I'm very intrigued...

Certainly different, and in ways I think I might like (unlike the 'As' for example).

Not surprised in the slightest.

Buying such an item in these circumstances must be an absolute quagmire of f*ckery.
