So just delving into dream land for a bit - if you had the opportunity to commission a yacht, who would you have build it?

Oceanco for me, I think.

Bering for me. Watched a couple of Nautistyles walk arounds on YouTube of their explorer yachts, just incredible.

Lürssen.

I would use Bannenberg & R D, Nuvolari for the design or John Barnett.

Some stunning yachts coming out very soon and in the next couple years.

Agreed. A B77 is just perfect. (And with Victoria as first mate please)

I think it depends on the size.

For a superyacht up to say 300 feet it would be Feadship or Abeking and Rasmussen.

Anything bigger then Lurssen no question.

You're in for a tough decision at the 85-90M Range wink

I sat looking at a 22m yacht the other day - it’s so far from a super yacht yet looked epic.

I'm starting to get concerned about my choice of Oceanco - I'm the only one that's chosen them!

22m "chase" boat to take you out to the megayacht. When the Greek harbour isn't deep enough to berth

Or you find 2mill in an old coat pocket

If we are allowed to post non 60m yachts then I choose this as I love sport fishing and would if I had the money. Full carbon. Made in Nz

That's particularly elegant, I think - much more so than the newer 'Cap'n Nemo' designs.
Wierdly this sort of design is laughed at by the nouveau riche, they need modern and new and last year's model says you are off the pace.

That design is basically a 1991 Ford Orion in design terms.
Of course in 2005 that design was the dog's danglies and you had to employ a man to poke the nude ladies attempting to board off the side with a boat hook

This is what the new money is aspiring to, get ready for illegal offshore millions to pour into this:

Money: wasted on the rich.
Sydney Opera House, floated on a barge.

My wife said “is that supposed to look like a cow?” Apparently it does.

Who volunteers to tell the owner he spent tens of millions on a boat that looks like a cow!
