Thanks for that - I've found out that my memory was from 35+ years ago as the footage was on Nationwide in 1977 - still vivid, though. Thread here: http://www.pprune.org/archive/index.php/t-48541.ht...

Did anyone ever find the footage from the gunners' eye view with the whoopin and hollerin (as our cousins would say) that I remember?

I found that one thanks, but the particular footage I remember seems to have been lost, sadly.

Ray Luxury-Yacht posted this video in the lounge this week...

One of the most enjoyable aviation related videos I've seen in recent years thumbup

James May, his plight to send a 'toy glider' further than a toy glider has ever been, on autopilot, hopefully to an airstrip 22 nautical miles away.

Its an hour long, too.

F16 onboard, pilot working hard.. banking hard, & pulling some G.. I find it fascinating to watch the workload.

Stunt plane practising stunts at airfield. Quad bikes being ridden down the runway. Now I wonder who shouldn't have been there. smile

Thought some of you might enjoy this during your Firday lunch breaks cool

It took a while to create (and to upload from here in Papua!) but here's what I hope will be the first of many videos flying in the mountains of West Papua, Indonesia:

Pilatus PC-6 Bush Flying in the mountains around Timika, Papua

Currently gathering footage from lots more airstrips out here whilst flying in the supplies and people so hope to have another movie out in the next few months smile

That is indeed me smile

And as for supplies, I mean rice, building stuff etc. No way I'd be messing about with anything illegal in Indonesia. If you've seen the news lately, you'd know what happened to the last lady who tried...

On a slightly different tack, this is footage of some quite bad turbulence on a BA 777 flight.

Really gets going just before 5 mins and ends with the captain telling them it's as bad as he's ever seen.

clicky

That would have me gripping the seat like no-one's business.
