I don't think that would have been a high priority back then. There weren't that many aviation museums in 1945.

You could but most were bought by the recycling industry as there was profit to be made in buying the aircraft and breaking it up for smelting

Some of the scrap metal dealers made a profit just by selling the fuel in the tanks, the metal in the airframe was the icing on the cake.

What aircraft is that? Contrarotating prop looks to be a different period to the car? But I guess its late 1940's or early 1950's
