Over the years Revell have re-released a lot of their early models - usually as "Classics". They make up into nice presentations. The main drawback is that they aren't to standard scales - which is a real pity.

I bought a bunch of them in the early 1980s when they were released as "The History Makers" series.

More recently, some of these old kits were released in replicas of the original boxes.

This is their "History Makers" boxing -

I have been on that Growler.........

It is part of the intrepid museum in NYC. (Well in the Hudson River attached to NYC)
Ditto, interesting bit of kit.

Edit. Hang on, Growler in NYC has 577 on its sticking up bit?

574 was USS Grayback, the only other member of the class

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grayback-class_subma...
There was also the nuclear powered USS Halibut that could carry five Regulus I or two Regulus II missiles. Once the George Washington class became operational it went on to spend 11 years between 1965-76 on 'Special Operations' wink
Read an interesting book on halibut. Tapping phone lines under the noses of the russians

Is that a recent photo of it being prepared to be taken to Bruntingthorpe?

I can't remember TBH, it was a Logistics contact on LinkedIn who posted it last week and I can't now find it. I think it was being loaned to a display/museum somewhere in the UK.

Lots of pictures of the move on the British Phantom Aviation Group's Twitter.

Even if you don't use Twitter you can still see it all in a browser.

Correct - it's not a Starfighter.

It's an F-16.

The Starfighter doesn't have those type of airbrakes.
