I remember seeing some of these at a Greenham Common display. They were quite attractive looking aircraft.

I used to cycle past one at Andrewsfield in Essex. An old bomber base from WW2, there's little left of it now, just a grass strip and the road is what used to be the perimeter track. The poor old Mystère sits near the runway, some panels missing and rotting away apparently unloved...

25 years between these pictures, and I'm sure it's not seen much in the way of tlc between them. I'm amazed it's still there at all, really.

I remember the first time I saw it, crossing my fingers and hoping it was an airworthy example, but when I got closer it was clear that it wasn't being looked after very well, stood outside in all weathers...

My model club visited the USAF at RAF Bentwaters in 1987 and they had a former French Air Force Mystere on the base for battle damage repair training.

No, it was definitely a snake.

I hope they remembered to remove all the carbon monoxide before they flew anywhere. Surely no true Aussie would be worried about a snake in the cockpit?

The new paint job for the RCAF Demo Cf-18, Marking the 60th Anniversary of NORAD. Photo compliments of Mike Reyno. Mike also remarked on the 401 Sqn aircraft banking away showing off the NORAD-type armament load that it carries on air the defence mission. He also remarked on the fact that this is a big year for 401 Sqn, as this year is the 100th year anniversary of this Squadron.
