"The men on the right are about to parachute into Normandy on D-Day, 1944. The men on the left are the very same group 70 years later. Even more amazing, they are on the same plane which carried them."

...this was followed by a visit to Bridgeport, Connecticut 12 through 23 February 1968 to participate in tests of the CH-53 helicopter with the Sikorsky Aircraft plant. Part of the test included AUSTIN being towed by a CH-53 helicopter...
1957 is way off, though. USS Austin (LPD-4) didn't have her keel laid down until February 1963, and the first flight of the YCH-53 Sea Stallion prototype was on 14 October 1964. Lord knows where anyone got 1957 as the date for that photo!Edited by yellowjack on Wednesday 21st October 10:04

That’s went wrong VERY quickly. I guess you need to take up the strain in a more gradual way otherwise physics wins.
Apparently (according to comments) it was during filming of a low budget action movie.
