It's a bit like Tex Johnson's rolling of the prototype Boeing 707 at a Seattle boat show.
He was told by the boss of Boeing, "Tex, that was very impressive - don't do it again".
Great (famous) picture - the actual plane is in the Udvar Hazy (Smithsonian) Museum just outside Washington:He was told by the boss of Boeing, "Tex, that was very impressive - don't do it again".

It was quite a risky thing to do. I saw Hannah fly displays many times and they were all very exciting and relatively safely done. But they were generally over the airfield/aerodrome. This was down a start - finish straight with all sorts of obstacles quite close to the wing tips such as buildings, flag poles, towers and grandstands.

Technically it's not really a 707. It was officially the Boeing 367-80 and served as the proof of concept aircraft for both the KC-135 tanker and the later 707 airliner. However, Boeing were already referring to their airliner project as the 707 so the 367-800 carried the registration N70700.https://airandspace.si.edu/multimedia-gallery/7253...

Amazing to think they're both from the same era of design.Ayahuasca said:
