Hopefully not hijacking thread, have just had my Octave bottled after 7 1/2 years maturing and thought I would share a couple of photos.
Hope you all enjoy your whisky
So what's it like ?Hope you all enjoy your whisky
Are you happy with the end result ?
42 bottles, thirsty angels.
And importantly are you selling any ?
Hope you enjoy.

Will be honest and say I have not tasted it yet, leaving it until my 50th birthday in 11 days time.
Did hope for a bit more than the 42 bottles and possibly should have bottled earlier.
Not for sale, have dished out to family and friends with my stash kept for the next few years.
Few folk have opened there bottle and are impressed with the taste so should not be disappointed.
Did you have some bottles from the first PH Octave ?

Lefty/Balmoral, have you managed to sort anything yet?
Someone needs to take responsibility for this, I'm still sitting on it. There's no problem with a courier picking it up as I'm at home a lot of the time, and Mrs Balmoral is at home too during the school hols, or I can drop it at a local depot if need be.Balmoral said:

Are you talking about cask 8 or something else, Balmoral? I'm still trying to work out what's going on!Big Bad Ben said:

This is all a bit 'after you, Claude'; Shaw Tarse needs to extract a digit and organise himself a courier to collect from Chez Balmoral otherwise the whisky will remain there until the second coming.
What about cask 8? Is anyone extracting a digit over that? I asked about it 6 weeks ago and had radio silence...It's probably not ready for bottling yet, so where it slumbers isn't that important and residing in Portsoy(free storage) rather than Creetown(cheap storage) is of little consequence; that said it is better to prod Glenglassaugh into action sooner rather than later, as the mix-up is of their doing and they should foot any extra costs incurred transporting it south.

fyi I seem to have 44litres at 58.9%
Edit, looked back & see you guys had this too. (Should've done that 1st!)
