I'll set the date of Sunday 17th May for the last entries to join this 'group buy' and will hopefully have my 'ducks in a row'* to buy the cask on Monday 18th may, so time is now limited to join in.

Does anyone have a copy of Lefty's contract he drew up for our initial casks? Mine has gone ....astray...since I move house and I'd like to use the same contract (or at least base the new one on) for this new cask. I've emailed the only address I have for Lefty (BVT) a week ago but haven't heard anything back yet. If you have a copy you can lay your hands on, can you scan it and mail me via my PM please?

I could probably dig mine out if you are still looking ?
Or did Crmcatee sort you ?
I'm desperate to get our Octaves bottled, are we any further forward on this ?

He's all sorted.

I'd say if we want anything out of the octaves they need to be done very shortly.

That's my fear - there will be nothing left in them.

If anyone is interested Whiskybroker currently have lots of Lingdarroch new make that's only £6.5 per litre. After getting a bottle of the new make to try I've bought an octave of it to share with a mate but would definitely be interested in a part share of a proper cask.

Turns out I:

A: can't remember the password for my old PH account (which must be 15 years old!)
B: don't have the email address any more.

Anyhoo, apologies for the tardiness. Can't rush whisky, so they tell me.

WB say it'll be ready in a month smile

Samples drawn from the 3 ben nevis casks last week, hopefully they'll arrive this week.

They can offer a lowland unpeated malt for £6.50/litre. I haven't committed to it. What do we think?

The elusive cask 8 is still MIA and getting hold of anybody at GG who knows anything about the old casks is a nightmare, literally, there's nobody else there who was around in 2012/13. Once the lockdown thing is lifted up here i'll go up there and sit on somebodys desk until they manage to either find the record or the cask.

I am very hopeful it's hiding somewhere, they could only find 5 at first when Podie and i visited and with a bit of digging found the other two.

Cheers,
Iain

Woo hoo. What happens next then? Assumes this is for all the casks. I’ve moved house too since starting this so will need to send my new address etc

Also yes to the lowland unpeated smile

Great news, thanks Iain.

All we / I need now is for the Govt to permit non-essential travel over some 600 miles and I can go and collect my bottles plus those I have bought from WB over the last few years.

Can't you message PH Towers and let them know your old details and ask them to give your old account back to you? https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/profile.asp?h=...

YES!

The next question is; does collecting special booze constitute an essential journey?

I know quite a few of the team that have followed Billy Walker to GA. Do you think it might be worth asking them if they know anything that might help?
