Lefty, any chance you can suggest a couple of bottles of commercially available whiskies that may be similar to the two casks we are buying here please? Just so I can work out if they are for me or not. I've only added a ? against the rum as I'd like a chance to know some similar whiskies please.

Rum octave not full...5678/S6PNJ, any thoughts?

There are a few rum finished balvenies around but they may be harder to find. 14yo Golden Cask, 17yo RumCask, 15yo (?) Cuban Reserve etc.

The Glenglassaugh will be similar in style, possibly a bit sweeter.

The octaves should be there within a month or so, they don't know until the truck arrives but the good news is that they will keep the casks for us until we are ready!
