Sent this morning (after a bit of a falling down moment at the PO and with various couriers, alcohol is prohibited, even with UPS who delivered it in the first place!).

Quick Q, does anyone have a copy of the original agreement with glenglassaugh, I've just had the proforma for bottling my own one & BenRiach seem to be adding £100 VAT from my payment made in 2011, which I'm thinking is a little off.

FYI - it's the VAT on the original spirit fill and cask which of course at the time was filled under bond so no customs were due.

The original Glenglassaugh agreements are located here : http://craigmcateer.co.uk/cask/Glenglassaugh%20Sma...

And the original filling prices are here http://craigmcateer.co.uk/cask/Glenglassaugh%20Sma...

Their FAQ can be found here : http://craigmcateer.co.uk/cask/Octave%20FAQ.pdf

their original leaflet can be found here : http://craigmcateer.co.uk/cask/Octave%20Cask%20Lea...

I've used these a couple of times in previous discussions with GG about their need to comply with the agreement (grudgingly they did) then I moved the casks I had there to Whiskybroker and never looked back. Their loss.

Gah, sorry chaps I’ve not been on here for ages.

Right.

1. Balmoral, let me know what the shipping was and I’ll pay you - I got a refund for Shaw’s postage from WB

2. The missing cask. It was left with GLG to look back through their cask orders. I will call tomorrow. I have a receipt for the cask but it never made it to WB. I’m hoping it’s in a dusty corner maturing nicely behind a big butt.

Who’s up for another visit in the spring?

Fingers crossed for some good news ref cask 8. I'm up for another visit but can we make it a bit later in the year - that hanger was bloody freezing and I think my feet have only just thawed out!

Is it actually cask 8?

I’ll go through my photos from a few years ago, as I thought we found all of them when we visited with you.

From my photos during my visit to WB in January - it was Cask 8 that was missing - I've got pictures of 1-7.

Hi folks - just thought I would give this a bump again.

April is probably not good for us as we are touring for the later half.

If we want to get there just before Easter we probably need to be thinking now for hotel rooms as hopefully spring may be trying to appear by then ?

Or do we leave it a bit later in the year just to make sure that Port is even better ? Cask 4 could be ready.
