Forgot to mention Sailors Thai Canteen in the rocks. It's suck a dead dog dick good. I have found this one... its on the list now.

Woodland in Neutral Bay is good for simple steak/salmon kind of stuff. They know how to cook.
The Colonial (not even kidding) is decent for indian.
Waqu in Crows Nest for Japanese that's a bit more interesting.
Ryo Noddles in Crows Nest has some of the best Ramen in the city.
Trans in Mosman (Spit Junction) does great more formal Vietnamese food. Used to be a regular.
The Oaks is a Neutral Bay institution.
