We’re stocking up at Sainsbury’s J9 M20 when we head back in July for a long weekend. Gazillions of sausages, packs of bacon and black pudding….among other things. It’s a customs risk, but…..
That 15 min in the shop is normally >£100, but I refuse to buy anything from Home form Home in Strassen.
I'm the same, and never go in there. Not sure I'll be bringing meat back with me when I come over after a trip at the end of the month, but I do have quite a long shopping list. I'm hoping that the CD plates might make them less inclined to search me! laugh

You're all doing it wrong .... back in the day, asking the Diplomatic Courier vans the FCO used to send over 3 times a week to pick you up a few bits/trade for the Tax and Duty free booze we got as a perk/part of the CD service Chacalli de Decker provided. We were allowed I think 25 litres of spirits a year .... but the Ambassador had unlimited allowance/I ran the Embassy Bar, which used his entitlement - so quite often was asked to order extras for those whom had used up their entitlement ..... smile

Given the van/truck itself was a Diplomatic Pouch in effect.

Looks very nice but we don’t tend to make dinner or lunch plans, just go with the flow.

Found this little gem away from all the hustle. Excellent pizza.

Heavy but tasty.

Half of a thick slice of rump, gribiche and a simple salad and dressing. Pretty good.

Don’t try to warm your pizza up like this, creating smoke and having to open the fire exit to get air in the office, so you don’t have to evacuate 100’s of people.

Rather, microwave it on espresso cups, as shown

Chicken and chips at Wing's Diner in Small Bar Bristol. Ironic given that there's loads of tables inside.

Washed down with half an Arbor Ale and half a Left Handed Giant. Sriracha Mayo was excellent. Possibly needed to drink more beforehand to appreciate the food.
