Ha, yes, I ran down to get some too, one in the freezer, one for the BBQ this evening! And to top up on my now addiction of Buffalo Mozzerella, at 99p it makes a pure mockery of similar ones that are triple the price or more!

Took a look myself but baulked when I saw they were £12.99 a kilo eekeekeek

Untrimmed rib on the (short) bone is little more than half that in Bookers and with my "discount" it is literally half Aldi price with more meat and less bone!

I just picked out three decent 30 day rib-eyes for £14 instead!

£12.99 a kilo... bandit

It was absolutely delicious and turned a BBQ into a bit of an event. I'd buy another.

Aldi Pizza range has been mentioned before - but their 'Sloppy Joe' is worthing bringing up again.. Its one of the frozen thin based ones.

Only about £1.50 and its great!.. I did add a red pepper and handfull of cheese - but for the price its a great place to start.

I did spot their NewYorker pizza hotdog which made me laugh, its got a sausage hidden in the crust (gave that one a miss!).

Good Man!

Just noticed it won an award in 2016 too so it must be good...

...and nearly a full set of red lights on a health indicator hehe

I'll tell you what really made it: it was the dollops of mustard. They really gave the overall taste a bit of a zing... that kind of length of wurst can start to get a bit 'samey' otherwise. Inspired condimental addition to the whole.

Love a sausage stuffed crust.

Anyone anything to say about the Pizza oven Aldi have for £99? I'm not a Pizza eater (just a sausage stuffer) but my kids would use this in the garden when they have mates over. B&M have the same wood fired oven for £130.

Aldi oven

Although looking for a link I've just found a Tesco one for £100
Link

Are these worth having? (Mainly to cook teenage boys in. I mean for. For teenage boys to cook in)

I'd read this review. Just wondered if any 'real' people had experience. I've looked in the PH Pizza Oven thread, bit too hot for me to handle.

I'm in to this at the moment. It's good. Like straight from the tub good

I saw a few 'Thank you, Aldi' Tweets today, with pics of people using them.

Not from Aldi, but seemingly exactly the same oven, my mate got one a couple of years ago, managed to get some edible pizza's off it, but said it wasnt great and rusted through in a year or so.

Good thing about them is A) the price and B) you are getting a firepit too, just dont expect quality

They're new lasagna is pretty good (the one in the wooden box). Also tried the mussels in white wine last night and would definitely buy again.

As a side note the dpg treats are bloody good value and the staffy loves them, especially the pig's ears smile

Lidl, Deluxe range, Ridge cut sea salted crisps. If they aren't made by Tyrrells very surprised. As good as frankly. £0.85 vs £1.50 for Tyrrells Furrows, ok you can occasionally get them for £1 on special offer.

Yes yes, discussing crisps, I know, council thread >> that way >>

Aldi drop certain ranges over the summer, it may be back in the autumn.

I was quite partial to the chilled (not frozen) big bugger that can in a foil base - was ideal to split in half and have at both ends of the week. Was only about £2.60 for 1Kg (I think!)

Not seen this wooden box version though.

Has anyone else noticed a downturn in the quality of the fruit and veg from there lately? I know there have been some issues with stuff from Southern Europe, but we've had a load of stuff that has only lasted a matter of days.

Bought carrots on Sunday, used a few then and then after leaving them in a dark cupboard until today (Wednesday) now find that they are mouldy.
Yes, we have. We rate a lot from Aldi, but not their fruit and veg.

This is true. It does not apply to Lidl fruit and veg in my experience, which can last weeks.
