anyone know if LIDL have any sweets/choc (for sharing) worth looking into? it's my turn at work this friday to bring in sweets & choc.

generally we'll get stuff like haribo, or packets of chocolate buttons/caramel buttons, those red spaghetti things etc..
I use Lidl in Spain but they probably have these over there.
They sell their own make of various chocolate sweeties, bounty, snickers, mars , twix, etc but they also do a big bag of them mixed.
Would be good for the office.
Three euros for 500g over here

are they the tiny 1 biter sized ones? like a box of celebrations? that would be better as opposed to bars of chocolate that's normally meant to fit in a kids lunch box.

I’m very keen on Lidl Sugarland Peach Loops. Big pack for less than a pound.

treated myself to some steak the other night, pair of the 21 day aged medallions rubbed with chilli salt and set asidie for 10 minutes then seared to medium rare, deglazed the pan with some red wine and threw in some specially selected asparagus...beautiful even if i say so myself.

DON'T think it would be a good idea to skip breakfast and buy some Aldi own instant porridge in a pot to have at your desk.

Absolutely rank.

I’ve never had instant porridge that’s not made from wallpaper paste so it’s probaly not an Aldi thing

If you manage to find the right shop, it is in the same style cardboard cylindrical tubs that Ben'n'Jerrys is in.

It was in a separate freezer with the Christmas specials rather than with the other ice cream.

That posh ham and mascapone one is my favourite oven pizza, better than most takeaways.. The pulled beef one is outstanding too as well as the curry one in the pic!

Please can you review the Sloe Gin Pies you have going stale in the cupboard before tucking in to even more fare? K. Thanks.

They're gone already wink

Very nice; better than the almond ones as, although the sloe gin makes them quite sticky, they're not so overly sweet and there's a lovely hit of fruity alcohol from them.

And both variants have a lovely, crisp, biscuity pastry.

Coming back to the W/// soon?
