how does the normal fair? still not tried it. I really enjoy the extra special ones that asda do for £3-4.
That posh ham and mascapone one is my favourite oven pizza, better than most takeaways.. The pulled beef one is outstanding too as well as the curry one in the pic!
Yep. This range is by far the best chilled pizzas you can buy.

I love the ham and mushroom one too. I often buy a pack of Aldi piri piri chicken pieces, slice them onto the ham pizza and then cook. The piri coating gives the pizza flavour a nice 'edge'.

I wonder if Aldi will ever have their Dornfelder Pinot Noir in again?

So I roasted up the Specially Selected 30 Day topsides yesterday, and they were excellent, knife went through them like butter when it came to carving them up!
I got a Specially Selected Aberdeen Angus joint yesterday, it was very good. Easily enough for 4 of us, cost £7.

I bought all three.

As previously mentioned, the port in particular is a fantastic bargain.

think I'll be going at lunch!

3 aldis between my house and work, the work one is the least affluent area so i reckon my best shot for a £40 bottle of port

Maybe not. If that shop doesn't generally shift the more expensive stuff they won't have been sent as much stock.

I have run out of the fancy mail-order coffee beans that I usually use, so when in Lidls earlier this week I picked up some Kenyan beans in a funny wooden drum.

Stock Picture =>

They are the nicest supermarket beans I've had.

I shall have to return to try the other couple of varieties they had.

Not sure if they are a permanent product or a seasonal special.

Went to the Aldi close to work at lunch time, no Port left.

All wasn't lost, got a tub of chicken and bacon pasta for lunch!

Popped down to Aldi earlier as we needed some supplies and thanks to the gin thread picked up a couple of bottles as well as some other bits and bobs.

Included in my basket of gin, pies, asparagus tips and screw driver bits was a packet of the chocolate covered stollen bites, absolutely delicious, so nice they didn't even make it into the 'christmas supplies box' we have.

I'll buy a few packs next time, nom nom nom

Managed to pick up 2 bottles of port, only 1 is for me on Xmas day. There were another 4 left on the shelf.

Debated the 100 year tower at 20 but decided against it

Other notable purchase was pigs in blanket crisps...we shall see!

Those stollen bites are horribly addictive aren't they? hehe

We grabbed one of those this morning.

My local store had full shelves of all the aged port and whisky/whiskey items discussed above^^. I wonder if there was an initial drop, as a teaser, then a full amount thereafter?

Aldi have a Douro red wine in at the moment, Anima or something? It's very good for the price.

Specially selected black pudding for stuff pork roast, not great. More black pudding than pork and the bacon lacked taste.
