I already have about 4litres of rum and 3 litres of port, a years supply!

Why am I so tempted to do to check Aldi alcohol reductions?

Anyone know how much control store managers have over local pricing at Aldi?

Obviously reducing stuff that's short dated is down to the store but my local regularly drops the price of San Miguel to £1.50 which matches when Asda have it on special and I've noticed a couple of other odd pricing changes at random times.

I also ask as a new Lidl is going to be opening less than 500m from Aldi and I could imagine a bit of a price war ensuing!

I warmed up some Aldi luxury mince pies, carved the pastry lid off, dollopped a large amount of Aldi Sloe Gin and Spiced Cranberry Cream inside, closed the lid and wolfed it down.

For the second mince pie, I carved the lid off, dollopped cream in to the mince pie and on to the lid and ate them separately. yum

In West Reading we now have a brand new Lidl next to a fairly new Aldi - good times !

Yes. But what were you wearing?

''Indulgent layered yogurts'' in various flavours. They are some of the best I've tasted and just 39p each.

Just a thong - it's a Christmas tradition in our house to eat mince pies in Christmas themed thongs.

My nearest Aldi is around five miles away and on the edge of the local town. Not having a shop of any sort in the village I usually pop out on a Saturday afternoon appreciating that this store had installed inside on the fruit and veg aisle, a cash point, thus avoiding having to drive in to town...

Imagine my surprise when I found an empty gap where said cash point once stood. Should’ve realised the boards my friend Phillip were knocking up were for a reason.

Who the hell ram raids an Aldi!

Idiots who don't realise that the cash machine is worth more than the money inside it!

One in our county was targeted as well according to the local Facebook group (assuming Gretchen doesn't live in deepest cumbria).

Cambridgeshire. Are you saying there’s been a series of co-ordinated attacks? Interesting.

People have been ripping cash machines from walls for years. Steal the whole lot, go somewhere safe, break in to it, remove cash, escape prosecution.

I think Gretchen is just wondering what she needs to do to get dragged backwards out of Aldi by a bunch of blokes in a pick-up truck.

Sounds like it's coordinated in Cumbria

It's happening all over the country; almost a weekly event in Essex and Suffolk.

Kimbolton village High St had a little Barclay’s bank for many many years. Closed down after it was shunted.

Local town has a lot of new estates being built on farmland. Someone(s) stole a JCB and left it in the front of the Spar shop last year hehe similarl from a building estate behind the local Tesco.

In my day it was joyriding a stolen milk float from the dairy. Oh how times have changed.

I bought the Aldi £29.99 air fryer a couple of days ago - have just got round to getting it out of the box and washing it pre-use.
It's big! Where am I going to put it? I had thought( before I bought it) the place where the bread maker (not used for the last year) goes....but it's too big for that! It's going to be a re-arrange the appliances on the kitchen worktops and try and find a space for it, if it's going to be useful.
With hindsight - I wouldn't have bought it.

Every time I shop.

Have just come in from the barn where I’ve been out to ‘store’ some more stuff (having cleared it out and converted it to a Gin Parlour over a year ago) I’ve had to body slam one of the doors shut... noticed my bargain ‘I’ll get loads of use out of this’ hedge trimmer I bought reduced in the Summer. Still unopened in its box. Stored. I both love and loath the ‘aisle of dreams’.

Still on the plus side I have more empty Gin bottles to use as candle holders. The French Fleuriste was my favourite. In my Gin Parlour. That I probably should just set fire to and be done with it.

Once the weather gets warmer, you'll be due a trim before the hot tub comes back into play wink
