Once the weather gets warmer, you'll be due a trim before the hot tub comes back into play wink
(Un)fortunately my neighbour is back on the scene having split up with his girlfriend prior to Christmas. Being a tree surgeon/landscape gardener/hot tub companion he comes in handy when needs must. I can potentially store my diy ‘tools’ for a while yet wink

Hot Tub was in play Christmas morning! Scorchio.

Every time I shop.

Have just come in from the barn where I’ve been out to ‘store’ some more stuff (having cleared it out and converted it to a Gin Parlour over a year ago) I’ve had to body slam one of the doors shut... noticed my bargain ‘I’ll get loads of use out of this’ hedge trimmer I bought reduced in the Summer. Still unopened in its box. Stored. I both love and loath the ‘aisle of dreams’.

Still on the plus side I have more empty Gin bottles to use as candle holders. The French Fleuriste was my favourite. In my Gin Parlour. That I probably should just set fire to and be done with it.
laugh
Thanks for that! smile

Right, burgers. I only have a lidl or asda within distance. I fancy eating it Sunday, the extra special/waygu ones. Is Lidl the way to go or are asda ones just as good?

Neither. Far far better if made yourself - and the Lidl steak mince is good for that.

Yep, best mince you can afford - split pack into 4 - squash with clean hands until meat starts to bind and make into burger shapes (Flat as you can, they will rise and contract as they cook) season just before cooking, lots of salt and pepper

Hot pan, few minutes on each side. easy.

Not sure about the 'best mince' approach for burgers. Typically, they have as little as 5% fat.

Burgers need more fat - it's the tasty bit and it's the juicy bit! Personally, I'd be looking for at least 15% fat.

But hey... it's food... it's personal - whatever tickles your tastebuds smile

Even better, mince some pork belly, mix in with your beef mince. Season, shape and cook.

This. Use a percentage of Pork Mince as retains more moisture.

Juicy.

The "finest" Minces in Lidl and Aldi are 15% fat (From memory - definitely with you on the higher fat content! Nothing worse than a dry burger, no amount of cheese is going to save it

You need more than 15% fat to make a decent tasting burger. In my opinion.

Aldi do a 20% fat mince which makes very, very good burgers.

My nearest Aldi is around five miles away and on the edge of the local town. Not having a shop of any sort in the village I usually pop out on a Saturday afternoon appreciating that this store had installed inside on the fruit and veg aisle, a cash point, thus avoiding having to drive in to town...

Imagine my surprise when I found an empty gap where said cash point once stood. Should’ve realised the boards my friend Phillip were knocking up were for a reason.

Who the hell ram raids an Aldi!
This happened a few months ago at my local in Hampshire. Smashed way in the pulled it out destroying a wall.

Yes that one was quite a mess -

At the Aldi robbery I was quite impressed at how neatly they had cut off the anti-ram raid posts outside -

It's got so bad that all Co-op convenience stores in the East of England have announced today that they are emptying all their machines of cash.
