You'll notice the new blend, it's in elongated packaging.

If it wasn't for the fact that Dorset Cereals continue to align their prices per kilo to saffron, I'd be up for a revolution.
I abandoned Dorset for Aldi, partly because of price but also because the Aldi Nutty had a much better mix of fruit and nuts and was much nuttier than DS's offering.

Aldi's has been in tall, narrow packaging for a year or so now though?

I've just measured and it's taller by 26mm.

I can't believe I just posted that.

Well, I hope it hasn't changed too much on the inside.

I measure a portion out just before bed, add some of Aldi's fresh, cloudy, pressed apple juice, then cover with cling film and leave overnight in the fridge.

The following morning, I add some of their Greek yoghurt (in the Fage-shaped tub, but a fraction of the price) and... hey presto... a wonderful Bircher. Then just add fresh fruit (banana, raspberries, blueberries usually).

It's got so bad that all Co-op convenience stores in the East of England have announced today that they are emptying all their machines of cash.
Never know why they needed them installed. No minimum spend and can get cash back in the store.

Fabulous for those who have unlimited funds and don’t need to check their overdrawn balance before they decide whether to feed the cats or kids first.

The cats. It’s always the cats.

I wondered what the fishy smell was?!

I had to throw out a box of those Aldi sardines just before Christmas, in a desperate bid to re-capture space in the freezer. I was surprised just how large and meaty they were when I opened the box up.

Shame on you.

My cats just read that and hissed.

Are you sure they've changed? Still the same in my branch. You're not getting granola >spit< and muesli mixed up?

Is this how it goes for everyone else too?

Actual conversation, exactly as it happened (in my head) from this morning:

(Notices little orange boxes on display)
Me: What's this then?
alt-Me: Dunno. (picks one up). Picture... hanging... kit. It's got nails in it.
Me: Do I need one of those?
alt-Me: Dunno. Do you hang many pictures?
Me: Dunno. Not really.
alt-Me: When was the last time you hung a picture?
Me: Dunno. Never... possibly.
alt-Me: So probably don't need it then?
Me: Dunno. How much is it?
alt-Me: £2.99
Me: Might as well get it then. Pop it in the garage, just in case.

Evidently they will often change packaging to give the illusion of new products.

Wait until you try a bowl. Now I'm fully Kübler-Ross aware, but this is not a change I am dealing with well. Note the lack of 'new recipe' or some-such approach to draw us to the fact that they have butchered the mix; just one look at the window box on your picture reveals the truth - it's not got any sodding nuts in view!

Porridge oats:

It's too much I tell you, too much.

Edited because got pictures mixed up in frothing rage.

Indeed. I tend to use them (please send me the white three pin ones as I live in a Nuclear Bunker with walls as hard as, nails) buy them, store them, can’t find them, buy more because offer...

I think that's the key issue. My dad and grandad *knew* what they had 'in the shed'.

I buy things 'for the shed' and then, when I actually need them, go out and buy whatever tools/bits again at the time.

A few PHers have visited my Dad’s garage and been impressed by his meticulously stored tools and sundries hehe I however ‘know’ what’s in my barn, I just don’t know where in the barn it is!

Perhaps I need a picture hanging kit to order my spanners et al scratchchin The day Aldi sell a version of the SnapOn tool storage drawers I’m fked. I need at least three for my hair accessories wink

They do - at least twice a year!
