Every now and then you have a really disappointing shop at Aldi and today was one of those times.
Lots of things not fresh; old stock holding up newer stuff being put out. Manufacturers changed to save Aldi 0.5p, but which entirely ruin a product for the punter. New lines you bought the week before and enjoyed not kept in stock. And I must have missed out on the chunky steaks^ too.

I nearly posted something similar last night after I popped in after work. I stood at the till with a proper heartache and sinking feeling for the first time ever (in Aldi). Even the six tins of cat food just weren’t doing it for me. Every now and then you have a really disappointing shop at Aldi and today was one of those times.

Amen. My version tonight is fry oil/garlic, lob greens in, boil in a bit of stock and then plate and grill with cheese. Divine.

Exactly my gripe^^. Because they just mince the whole bush, you get a plateful of stalks.
