yes

Soggy, manky rubbish.

That isn't a comment purely on the Aldi product. I've tried theirs, Waitrose's and others' too. All horrid.

Picked this up in Aldi yesterday.....

Quite drinkable and a bit lighter than most Valpolicella I’ve had recently.....

Perhaps you should moderate your drinking a little?

My youngest lad and I recently have been enjoying the Carrot Fries from Aldi. Who’d have thought it.

I know what you mean (as in the 4 pack 'blocks' that are £2.50 for 4).

The packs of 2 large fillets though (nearly the same weight as above) for £2.99 are bloody lovely. Haddock & cod available, in breaded or battered varieties.
Thanks for the tip on that!

Yes it was the 4 pack blocks I had tried.

I’ll give the doubles a try instead then.

Aldi have for the second time in twelve months increased the price of their Mature Cheddar. It was previously £1.59 for 350g, then more recently £1.65. This morning I noticed it’s now £1.89... however they’ve branded it ‘new bigger pack’ and upped it to 400g. Still makes an increase of 0.02p per KG. This makes me cross. I like Cheese.

Dairy products have increased in price across Europe. Butter has gone bonkers.

I know. Knock on effect in the U.K. from the closure of dairy farms too. I have a butter churned and make my own ocassionally. I had vowed to buy cheese every other week as to be fair it won’t do me any harm to ly off the dairy products for a while! :/

Might be some time, Arla commented that it will be several years(!!!) before production levels meet demand bringing prices back down again

Shouldn't be anything like Ribena!

Anyway - I like the Aldi small seeded sliced loaf at 55p which I've had a few times, bought the Lidl similar priced small seeded loaf and disappointed with it. I find it too dry even though it's still got a couple of days on it for freshness.
My local Sainsburys has been absolutely dire for sliced bread the last few weeks, which is why I've been looking elsewhere.

That 55p sliced seeded is divine, can't get enough of it.
