Little tip in the aisle of dreams: the first aid kit at £9.99 is a proper little bargain.
Did a bit of research before buying one this morning: has a more extensive inventory than most of that size on the market and much cheaper.
Our holidays are almost entirely car-based, so it's always a useful item in the wagon.
Just add the bits they're not allowed to put in First Aid kits (antihistamine (bite) cream, antiseptic cream and paracetamol/brufen) and you're pretty much ready for anything short of needing A&E.

Feck Ive got a pack of those on the side, my sons et al are coming around for Sunday lunch. I was about to put some in a bowl for nibbles with a glass of wine before lunch, should I throw them out now....
Give them a go, they certainly don't float my boat but it's all personal taste etc. Or maybe burn them....

You sound like you know what you are talking about, so picked one of these up yesterday. Thanks Did a bit of research before buying one this morning: has a more extensive inventory than most of that size on the market and much cheaper.

I can't recall which does the better mayo (which annoys me, as I use a lot if it)
Lidl brown sauce is definitely better than Aldi. And Aldi tomato ketchup is pretty dreadful (I think I've got Heinz at the moment - and I'm not proud). Don't use much ketchup though; prefer curry ketchup from ze Fatherland.
Where do you get your curry ketchup from? Every where I have tried are charging a fortuneLidl brown sauce is definitely better than Aldi. Extremely easily made yourself at home. Tip it out, mix a few of the usual suspects in. Bit more. Bit more. OK, loads more. Maybe some vinegar to loosen it up a bit. Perfect.
Back in the bottle.

I understand that Sainsbury's currently have it on a shortlist of potential new products though; will post here when/if it gets a green light.

Had the steak & claret pie the other night, quite nice if not quite up there with our local butchers one. A little lacking in gravy to serve with mash and veg (I'd forgotten to take some stock out of the freezer) but would be perfectly fine with buttery new potatoes and veg I think.
